MAKOTO KUROSAKI KUROUCHI/ BLACK FORGED CHEF's KNIFE 

Makoto Kurosaki has been working amongst the artisan bladesmiths for many years but has made the transition from his role as a grinding specialist to forging his own line. His intimate understanding of blade geometry and finishing really shows in this Kurouchi series, the spine and choil have been highly polished and the edges slightly rounded making it very comfortable to hold. The series have a smooth distal taper towards the tip giving it great accuracy and the grind is thin just behind the edge resulting in high cutting performance. Makoto is using Shirogami clad with Nan-tetsu (soft iron), this traditional laminated constructions is really enjoyable to sharpen freehand and the super fine grain structure of Shirogami is capable of draw dropping sharpness.
